Fake Institutes Under Classification by HRD.

LATEST DEVELOPMENT IN THE UPPER HOUSE OF PARLIMENT:

Over 200 fake institutes have been identified by government agencies in the last three years, the Rajya Sabha was told today.

Minister of state for HRD D.Purandeswari said in a written reply said the University Grants Commission (UGC) has identified three fake institutions--two in Uttar Pradesh and one in Delhi.

The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has identified 205 fake technical educational institutions. Of them, 76 are from Maharashtra while 24 were from Delhi, she said.

According to HRD, each state has to notify the central team of fake institutes in respectives states. It means Kerala government must notify Central HRD about such fakes institutes in Kochi, so that their latest recruitments are stopped and the institute is sealed.

How many of us know that IIPM is fake university? It is not recognised by AICTE as it is linked to foreign university. Though they claim that they are better than IIT's, the recognition factor will haunt them for long. Similarly many institutes are there with foreign affiliation. It doesnt have validity in INDIA (Ironically not even in the foreign countries. )

We can easily register complaints in www.consumercourt.in

This blog has realised that all has time only for their work and would like someone to take initiative. There is immense amount of lack of confidence among students to file a complaint or a lodge a case in court. Look if you have studied in an institute said to be affiliated to foreign university, then please be prompt and proactive in terms of raising positive issues also. In foreign nations these kinds of response takes place abruptly.

Many are there who would like to be on corner of veranda and see what one does? When it is seen that, a particular person acheived success, then those waiting at veranda will come forward. Untill that person acheives something they will critisise and say let us wait. It is seen to be human nature. Once the event is seen to be moving well, they will follow.

Anyway wish you all success to identify good institutes.

ACT SMART AGAINST FRAUDS.

DETAILS ABOUT FAKE INSTITUTES

Just read the first page of news in the Deshabimani news paper (top most news) dated 10-Aug-2009.

http://www.deshabhimani.com/e_paper/1chn100809.pdf

There are a lot of fake courses been offered in Kochi. One such institute is at Kadavantra which offers a postgraduate diploma in clinical research. It says to have affiliation with Canadian university and American universities. That institute charges fees of ~4.5 lakhs. They enroll students who just completed M.Sc in various streams, MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and B.Tech etc. They offer huge salary after completion of one-year course. But to the students heartbreak, it was found that the certificate don’t have validity anywhere in India and no value even in Canada or America with which the institute is said to be affiliated. So dreams of the students are shattered and are led to roads to search job of their own, even after paying/taking huge loan. This institute is seen to have no moral, ethical values. Students have protested a lot for certificate and jobs, but all in vain.

The sad fact is that most of the students are from various parts of India like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Mangalore, Pune and many other cities. So for the students to coordinate and act against that institute became difficult. Many students joined this course with a dream of building a career, but apparently their life seems to be spoiled by this institute, giving students mental agony, pressure from family for job etc.

All in all it is a straightforward case of unfair ways adopted by a group of people in our own society in our own city to make money and bring students in danger.

This blog hopes to get active support by popularizing and educating young students to be aware of such fake ventures. Kochi is becoming hot destination not only for big investments, but also for such cases. We need to cut it down from root level. Please comment on the matter and also share of any such instances in Kochi.

FAKE COURSE IN KOCHI

Bringing your focus to one of the fake institution in a south Indian city of Kochi.

Many instituitions have popped up in Kochi which lure the young students with big offers and foreign affiliations. The main point to note is that these certificates dont have any value in any of the foreign nations including UK, USA and Canada. There is such an instituition in Kochi at Kadavantra offering clinical research course affiliated to candian and other foreign universities. Students felt trapped as they realised that these certificates don't have any value in INDIA. Students had to cash into the course by paying a huge fee of 4.5 lakhs. As offered by the instituition they never got result nor certificate. There was no use even after repeated coordination with that institution. Other students of that batch and the previous batch had the same fate.

SEE THE LINK BELOW:

http://www.deshabhimani.com/e_paper/1chn100809.pdf

The students started a forum to contact each other where they expressed views about that institute, but out of fear the authorities of that institute blocked the forum. If an institute has not obliged to what they had offered, then the students have the right to file case against the institute, opined Dr.Kuncheria P Issac, Joint Director of Technical education (JCTE).

I REQUEST ALL TO COMMENT ON THIS TO PROVE THE FACT ABOUT THE INSTITUTION WHICH IS RATHER HYPED.

AS YOU KNOW COMMENTS ARE INVALUABLE.

HOPE TO REACH THE EXPECTED TARGET AND WE DON'T WANT TO SEE MORE SCAPEGOATS.
